RectorSeal No. 5 is a non-hardening, slow-drying pipe thread sealant designed to seal threaded pipe connections. It lubricates and protects threads across metal and plastic piping, and is lead-free, making it safe for potable water systems. Do not use on ABS or CPVC. For natural gas and water lines up to 2 inches and 100 psi, the piping system may be placed into service after brief curing; other services benefit from waiting 24 hours after application.
