I used this bearing (and two others) to fix a Jabsco bilge pump. The original bearings were shielded but I replaced them with sealed bearings since the pump sprays water when the diagram failed...which rusted the bearings. Repairing the bearings for < $20 saved >$200 over replacing the parts with the bearings installed. If you have a press it's a no brainer to do this.
