💡 What does a thrust washer do in a bearing assembly?
It helps spread out the axial load and cuts down on friction.
-
Reduces metal-on-metal contact during rotation
-
Helps stabilize needle thrust bearings
-
Increases bearing life by absorbing stress
-
Great for tight-clearance, high-load assemblies
If your setup needs a low-profile part that can take the pressure, the TWA815 delivers. Toss it in your cart and give your bearing the backup it deserves.
A thrust washer this small should really have an indicator etched on the flat side. It's very hard to see that very tiny gap that indicates the inside roller race. I pity the novices who don't know how to check or have the gear to check for the taper and end up 'popping the washer' and ruining the bearing. I'm sorry I put this comment on a different thrust washer (Ball Bearing) because I thought it was this one!
