💡 How does a custom color shifting basecoat apply smoothly over factory curves and contours?
Applying a shift-color paint system to complex bodywork requires understanding how pigment orientation affects tone transitions, and this method stays handy for swapping out old wraps with fresh custom tones.
- Tacking surfaces clean before rolling ensures maximum flake alignment
- Building density slowly with light mist coats keeps the laydown flat
- Ambient temperature drops speed up cure rates without messing up clarity
- Storing leftover gallons in cool dry spots preserves viscosity levels
