💡 What factors determine how effectively chameleon basecoat covers uneven metal surfaces during custom bodywork?
A stable binder ratio and proper reducer selection keep the suspension evenly distributed across panels. You want consistent atomization so the metallic pigments lay flat without spotting or heavy shading issues.
- Choose slower evaporating reducers to prevent flash drying on large hood panels
- Apply thin mist coats before building opacity for uniform pigment alignment
- Keep booth humidity balanced to stop fish eyes while sealing primer gaps
- Stick to handy masking methods to protect trim while rolling out shifts
