7001B Angular Contact Ball Bearing – 12x28x8mm | High Speed & Precision

The 7001B angular contact bearing is made for setups that need to handle both side (axial) and straight (radial) loads, but it takes axial load in one direction only. It’s a popular pick for spindles, motors, and machines that run fast and need to stay accurate.

Sized at 12mm ID x 28mm OD x 8mm width, this single-row bearing is made from tough chrome steel and runs super smooth—even under pressure. It’s great for gear that needs to move fast without getting shaky.

💡 Quick Tip – Why go with an angular contact bearing?
Answer: These bearings handle both up-and-down and side-to-side forces, making them perfect for high-speed machines where regular bearings just won’t cut it.

⚙️ If you’re building or fixing gear that spins fast and needs to stay solid under load, the 7001B is a smart, no-hassle choice.

We go through lots of bearings and the same bearing can range dramatically in pricing. VXB had the bearing needed at a good price.

As usual VXB has come through with my bearing needs. Shipping was better than expected even with the least expensive option. Product performs a specified.

Works Fine not Ideal in Some Cases

When using as a pair orriented in opposite directions on the shaft one can do "face to face" or "back to back" orrientation (contact angles pointing away giving a stiffer "fixed" condition for the end of the shaft and contact angles intersecting giving more of a "pinned" condition respectively). Bearings can also be spaced apart although not usually seen with back to back style instalations. For me the design called for back to back orientation (and no spacers). In that configuartion these bearings allowed for ~0.0015" to 0.0030" of linear lash in the shaft depending on the pair. Outer races are squeezed together firmly in the bearing blocks and inner races are squeeed together firmly on the shaft so the lash is definitely in the bearings themselves. This was a simple fix with shimstock washers cut to put between the inner races(not ideal but a livable fix in my aplication). I have never had to do this with the more expensive bearings that these are a clone of but these are 1 5 the price. Bottom line great for the price even with the shimming in my application. Will be using a lot of these if this first batch holds up well.
